Africans say Libyan troops try to make them fight

(Reuters) RAS JDIR CAMP, Tunisia – Libyan troops loyal to Muammar Gaddafi are rounding up black African migrants to force them to fight anti-Gaddafi rebels, young African men who fled to Tunisia said on Monday.

One Dead as Islamist Mobs in Ethiopia Destroy Church Buildings

Compass Direct: March 7 (CDN) — At least one Christian was killed and others injured when thousands of Islamic extremists set fire to 59 churches and at least 28 homes in western Ethiopia in the past five days, Christian leaders said.  More than 4,000 Christians in and around Asendabo, Jimma Zone have been displaced as a result of attacks that began on Wednesday (March 2) after Muslims accused a Christian of desecrating the Quran by tearing up a copy, sources said.  Total structures razed at 59; at least 4,000 Christians displaced. Fearing God Not Gaddafi: Libya’s New Mujahideen

Noon prayer at the Ajdabiyah checkpoint is ominous. Thick white rain clouds and the whipped yellow swirls of a sandstorm move across the face of the shrub-studded desert. But no one here is praying. The rumble of what many believe is an enemy warplane somewhere overhead mingles with the thunder of the impending rainstorm. The rebels shout to each other across a landscape littered with bullet casings and debris, then let loose with round after round of anti-aircraft fire. A fighter 100 feet away launches a surface-to-air missile at the invisible target above. Then as everyone waits for death or a distant boom, the rain starts to fall. Ethiopia erects her flag in Somalia

Mogadishu(Mareeg)-Insurgent group of Al-shabab told that neighboring country of Ethiopian soldiers have entered into some Somali regions and erected their flag in those areas and called for fresh fighting they had with Ethiopia, reports said. Shabab’s spokesman, Sheikh Ali Dhere said that Ethiopians got into some Somali regions like Gal-gudud, Hiiraan and Gedo and told they had erected their flag inside Dhusa-mareb town of Galgudud, region central Somalia.
