Ethiopian government hiddenhands on course of humantraffiking and the forgoten orphanas

capture
Declining foreign NGO and adoptions in Ethiopian becoming faster and means that thousands of children who could have been raised in adoptive families are going to live and die in the orphanages and milions of vulnarable children and mother and exposed to trouble.

Children need families, biological or adoptive, more than they need to remain in their culture in an orphanage or foster care or kinship care. Families, wherever they may be, are vital for children’s survival and success.
If Ethiopia could provide permanent families for all its vulnerable children, the child right /CRC/ and human right not violated. But Closing adoptions with out alternative means are prepared and ready, it will multiply the number of children raised on the street,

Or in the orphanages, will be victims of institutional care.

Is the government facilitating other alternative solution?

Will these kids have enough support to live a normal healthy life? is there any other OPTION for OVC proper future?….

As we all know from the reality, Ethiopia is far from being able to provide good permanent solutions for all of their orphaned, semi orphaned, and abandoned children.

There should be  several movements to provide good permanent solutions for children, offcource  that will  not be orphanages!! weather it is private or government !                         ”  Children who are institutionalized at an early age often demonstrate delays in emotional, social, and physical development. Institutionalization places children at great risk for certain diseases. Institutional care may affect a child’s ability to make smooth transitions from one developmental stage to another throughout his/her life. Children brought up in institutions may suffer from severe behavior and emotional problems, such as aggressive or antisocial behavior, have less knowledge and understanding of the world, and become adults with psychiatric impairments. Finally, children raised in institutions are at risk for learning problems-such as poor reading ability and have more difficulty with critical thinking, establishing cause-and-effect, and impulsively.”Dr,Virgo

Ethiopia is vulnerable to child  trafficking. This is especially true with foreign adoptions. Even though I am not suggesting that Ethiopia should close to foreign adoptions, On the documentation process of adoption, families are threatened to not tell the truth when they are interviewed. They are lied about the child, on age, birth date, birth place, name, family root, race, religion and as if abandoned, and orphaned. Families told  as they are worthless and incapable to raise their children. That their kids will be better off. People who make money off of kids being adopted convincing families to sign papers, is this not child trafficking? Yes it is trafficking! Trafficking occurs along the process. Children are taken from parents by individuals in the adoption process for the purpose of monetary gain. In other words, these children are exploited. Although adopting parents are unaware of what has happened in the process of getting the child to them, it does not mean that trafficking has not occurred.

State Sugar Project Harming Ethiopian Tribes, Rights Group Says

Bloomberg:Human Rights Watch said tens of thousands of semi-nomadic people in southern Ethiopia may be forced off their land to make way for state-owned sugar cane plantations. The government denied any displacement would occur.

Last year, Ethiopia’s state-run Sugar Corp. began building six processing factories and clearing as much as 175,000 hectares (432,000 acres) in the Lower Omo Valley area to produce the sweetener. The government denied the Kuraz Sugar Development Project would displace anyone and instead will bring infrastructure, services and jobs. From Baron Prochazka to Benito Mussolini “Legge Organica” the “Charter” for the Tribal Dismemberment of Ethiopia

PART ONE

I. Background

The Nazis of Austro Hungary had already in the 1930′s targeted Ethiopia as a threat against white supremacy, and white colonialism in Africa, in much the same way as the Bush administration talks about Iraq’s “weapons of mass destruction” and threat to “Western Civilization.” In the case of Ethiopia, the classic work on the subject, which we have repeatedly introduced to the Ethiopian public, myself and the Ethiopian patriotic Diaspora in Germany, was , of course, the book by the Austrian Nazi, Baron Roman Prochazka’s “Abyssinia the Powder Barrel” (Vienna 1935), translated in all the major Western languages (including American English, as the following text shows) before the Italian invasion in 1936. Baron Roman Prochazka was posted for two years as Austrian Consul in Addis Ababa until his expulsion in February 1934, as we say now for activities not compatible with his job of a diplomat. The Italian translation of Prochazka’s book entitled ABISSINIA PERICOLO NERO meaning “Abyssinia the Black Threat or Danger” was published in 1935, which is a year before the Fascist invasion .Starting from the first page, Prochazka alerts his white public by stating that since four years that Emperor Haile Selassie’s Ethiopia, in “close co-operation with Japan,” was engaged “on a life and death struggle with the white race, the consequences of which are incalculable. The targets are the colonial powers in Africa without exception. It is hardly possible to imagine a more unhappy situation of a white man than to have to live under the oppression of an Abyssinian grandee. The prevalence of this contemptuous invective is characteristic of the mentality and attitude of the natives who imagine themselves to be infinitely superior to the white race.” Continue reading “Origin of Tribalisation of Ethiopian Politics: From Fascism to Fascism by Prof. Aleme Eshete”
